Psychological Resident
Briana J. Lubin, Psy.D., a Psychological Resident at Delta Psychological Group, is biligual in Spanish. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with emotional, behavioral, and health concerns, and provides individual, group, and family therapy. She completes depression therapy and treatment for anxiety, difficulty adjusting to life stressors, difficulty coping with divorce, disruptive behaviors/ADHD, and health-related problems. In addition, Dr. Lubin conducts psychoeducational testing and psychological assessments for learning disabilities, giftedness, emotional disturbances, and behavioral concerns.
Dr. Lubin has been trained in Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) through the University of Miami’s Center for Family Studies. She provides family counseling focusing on improving relational problems and decreasing disruptive behaviors in the home. She also offers parent-training and behavior modification courses for parents experiencing difficulty with their child’s behaviors, as well as behavior modification groups for children/adolescents.
Dr. Lubin was also trained in health psychology, behavioral medicine, and biofeedback. She has experience working as a therapist and coordinator for the Biofeedback and Health Psychology Center at Nova Southeastern University’s Psychology Services Center. She provides supportive interventions for individuals coping with a medical condition or chronic pain, and works with clients to improve their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in order to achieve a healthy lifestyle. In addition, Dr. Lubin conducts bariatric psychological evaluations for surgery candidates and offers post-operative psychotherapy and behavioral modification to enhance healthy adjustment after surgery.
Dr. Lubin completed her post-doctoral residency at Citrus Health Network in Hialeah. She was the Coordinator of the Children’s Assessment and Emergency Services Department and worked with families in the Outpatient Therapy Department as well. Dr. Lubin earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, with a minor in health studies, from the University of Florida. Dr. Lubin is a member of the Florida Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association.
