Janette Rodriguez, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist at Delta Psychological Group. She specializes in trauma and health psychology, and understands stress and its relationship with the mind and body. She provides culturally competent services to diverse groups, including racial/ethnic minorities, the LGBTI community, and individuals with disabilities, among others. In her clinical practice, Dr. Rodriguez combines the art and science of psychology to offer tailored services to obtain the best results possible. She provides a safe environment to discuss concerns, offers honest feedback, teaches/recommends strategies for coping and goal setting, and facilitates a better understanding of current difficulties (insight).

Dr. Rodriguez offers individual and group psychotherapy and education. She helps individuals struggling with unexpected or traumatic life events, including end of life concerns, palliative care, and grief/bereavement. She also works with those facing health-related stress or medical conditions, such as cancer, chronic pain, and adult ADHD.

Highly specialized psychological assessment services are also available. For patients or physicians interested in optimizing health outcomes, she offers pre and post-surgical psychological evaluations for transplant, cardiac, and other medical issues. She also evaluates academic difficulties in adults, including ADHD, and makes recommendations for academic or testing accommodations.

Dr. Rodriguez earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Wright State University. She completed her internship and post-doctoral fellowship, both accredited by the American Psychological Association, at the Miami VA Medical Center. She is currently the Project Coordinator for the first research grant directly awarded to Jackson Memorial Hospital, and is also adjunct faculty at Barry University. She has received numerous awards, including the Excellence in the General Practice of Psychology Award, and has presented her work nationally and internationally. She is an active member of the American Psychological Association, the Florida Psychological Association, and the National Latina/o Psychological Association. She offers consultation to other professionals and organizations.
