Marielande Emile, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker at Delta Psychological Group. She has worked for over 10 years with a diverse population in a variety of settings, school based, hospitals, and the juvenile justice system. Ms. Emile is bilingual in English and Haitian Creole and serves the Tri County areas (Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach). Her area of expertise comprises of biopsychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, life management, grief counseling, treatment of emotional and behavioral disorders, and clinical supervision.
Marielande Emile obtained her Bachelor’s degree in social work from Florida International University in 1998. She completed her practicum at the Florida State University’s Multidisplinary Program working in conjunction with school psychology program in assisting with the Florida Department of Education psychoeducational evaluation process. In 2000, Ms. Emile obtained her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Florida State University. She currently practices as a school social worker in Broward County Public Schools. In this position Ms. Emile serves as a therapist, advocate, and liaison between families, the school system and community agencies. She is currently an active member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Broward School Social Workers Association.
As a private practitioner, Ms. Emile provides individual, group and family counseling for children, adolescents, and adults. She has a diverse theoretical approach which includes crisis intervention, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational enhancement therapy. She is also a qualified clinical social work supervisor for the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling.
