Jodi Brazlavsky, LCSW is an Aventura Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist who has worked in Aventura, FL for over 10 years and has served the South Florida community for over 20 years. She is the Clinical Coordinator at Delta Psychological Group. Ms. Brazlavsky graduated from the University of Florida in 1994 with her BS in Psychology and obtained her Masters in Social Work from Florida International University in 1996.
Ms. Brazlavsky's work experience is quite diverse and her areas of expertise include: crisis intervention, psychotherapeutic services, clinical supervision, healthcare, advocacy, community outreach, cultural diversity, education, program development, therapeutic supervision of court-ordered parent-child visitation, and facilitation of support groups. She has forensic social work experience in that she evaluates the mental health of parents in the dependency court system and serves as an expert witness in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Ms. Brazlavsky is also an adjunct professor at Barry University School of Social Work.
Additionally, Ms. Brazlavsky has worked extensively with children, adults and seniors who have suffered brain/spinal cord injuries and neurological impairment. She also provides therapy for individuals who may be experiencing Anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Learning Disorders, Substance Abuse, Trauma, Psychosis as well as Personality and Mood Disorders. Ms. Brazlavsky also works with families who are experiencing challenging family issues related to marriage, separation, divorce, co-parenting and custody issues.
Ms. Brazlavsky utilizes an empowering, innovative approach to assist individuals and families in managing their lives without compromising one's right to self-determination. Ms. Brazlavsky provides cognitive-behavioral therapy, supportive counseling, and psychotherapy; and she has a clear understanding of the struggles individuals face in dealing with difficult life issues.
