Dr. Megan Lavado
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Megan Michelle Lavado is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Psychologist who earned her doctorate degree from Albizu University with a specialization in Neuropsychology. During internship, she worked at West Gables Rehabilitation Hospital and evaluated adults and geriatric patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. She received further training at the Neurobehavioral Institute of Miami , specializing in neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations.
Dr. Lavado completed her post-doctoral training at a private practice, where she specialized in neuropsychological, psychoeducational, psychological, and developmental evaluations. She is the co-author of the book: Minority and Cross-Cultural Aspects of Neuropsychological Assessment: Enduring and Emerging Trends . Dr. Lavado’s background also includes providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children diagnosed with Autism.
Throughout her career, Dr. Lavado has enjoyed working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She is a trained evaluator in Cross-Battery Assessment and ADOS-2. She conducts neuropsychological, psychoeducational, psychological, and developmental assessments, including evaluations to determine if there is a Specific Learning Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Intellectual Disability, Autism, or an emotional concern. Dr. Lavado also provides gifted testing for children and immigration evaluations.
